Farmers Weekly Safety Tip Competition - March Winner
Arable and livestock farmer, David Beattie, is the March winner of Farmers Weekly Farm Safety Tip Competition.
Mr Beattie of Gollanfield, Inverness, says he has always had a healthy respect for pto shafts, but has put in place a visual reminder to ensure he never forgets.
"I wrap red and white adhesive tape six inches in width on either end of the pto shaft.
"When people see the tape it should remind them keep clear when the shaft is turning. I actually use this tape on anything that turns including the pick-up reel guard of balers."
