Farmers Weekly Safety Tip Competition - April Winner

Joseph Sweet is the April winner of the Farmers Weekly Safety Tip Competition.

Joseph, who lives and works on his parent's dairy farm near Newquay, Cornwall, says he and his family set times when they will talk to each other if they are working alone to check everyone is safe. 

"Being a reasonably small farm, there are a number of jobs you find yourself doing alone, whether it's with the cows or out in the field.

"It is always important to keep in contact with each other and set times that we will talk to one another. That way if someone doesn't answer their phone or call back withing 15 minutes or so then we go and check everything is OK."

Joseph chose a pair of B425SM lace up safety boots as his prize which he collected from M A Grigg in St Austell.
