Show them Howe

The Scottish National Rugby side may not be covering itself in glory in the current Six Nations (Feb 2014) but the club side in Scotland which is considered to play some of the most exciting rugby in the land is Howe of Fife RFC which has a policy of rearing its own players and not playing overseas imports.

The recent elevation of former Howe players Peter Horne and Chris Fusaro to full international honours and Michael Fedo to International Sevens duty is testimony to the success of the club’s policy.

The conveyor goes on with a number of young players being selected for the International Under 18’s and Under 20’s sides with Murdo McAndrew being groomed for the number 10 spot at top French club Clermont Auverne.
